A 28-year-old man was crushed to death at Domenebo No. 2 in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region following a head-on collision with a Sienta vehicle.

The deceased, identified as Atta Kofi, popularly known as Santiago, 28, was riding an unregistered motorbike from Bibiani towards Kunkumso when, upon reaching a section of the road near Domenebo, he had a head-on collision with a Sienta vehicle with registration number WN 325-26.

The vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Emmanuel Kyeremanten, was travelling from Domenebo towards Bibiani when the accident occurred.

Speaking to Adom News, an eyewitness, Agyemang Quddus, said he heard a loud sound and initially thought a vehicle had hit a pothole.

He said he went to the scene where he met passengers of the Sienta vehicle who informed him about the accident. They subsequently alerted the Bibiani Police.

Meanwhile, a driver, Douglas Coffie, who was at the scene, used the incident to advise drivers and motorbike riders using the Bibiani-Bekwai road to exercise caution, particularly as the Christmas festive season approaches.

Meanwhile, the police have conveyed the body of the deceased to the Anhwiaso Community Morgue as investigations continue to establish the cause of the accident.
