22-Year-Old Boy Arrested For Allegedly Burn 22 Goats To Ashes

Police in the Eastern Region have arrested, David Addai, popularly known as “agorbo” 22 year -old unemployed man for allegedly burning about 22 goats to ashes belonging to his uncle at Mampong, a community  in the Lower Manya Klo municipality .

The uncle of the suspect, Tetteh Huadji told the media that David Addai was arrested from his hide out after the incident.

The suspect who according was on the run, came to the house after weeks of inflicting machete wounds on his father, Mr. Daniel Addai in Kponoklele a village near Oterkpolu.

His father is said to have suffered injury when he attempted stop a conflict between the suspect and his younger sister at Kponoklele.

He was reported to the police and several attempt were made to arrest him but he run away and was arrested when he returned home burn dozens of goats to ashes as a punitive measure to his uncle who was part of the people who verbally reprimanded him for his action.

The uncle continued that the family is in pain and expect justice from the law court where the suspect is expected to be sent to for his actions adding that this was not the first time he exhibited such character.

“I heard he smokes Indian hemp (wee)” the uncle remarked as he expressed his displeasure over the conduct of his nephew.

The grandfather of the suspect, Nene Akuffu Tetteh who own some of the goats said many the animals that were killed were pregnant and would delivered anytime soon.
