“Through the support of government and fundraising efforts, we have been able to secure broadcast rights to telecast the World Cup matches live on some of the media stations,” Kofi Adams said.

The donation from GCB Bank forms part of ongoing efforts to raise financial support for the Ghana national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The government launched the fundraising initiative to rally corporate Ghana and other stakeholders behind the national team as preparations continue for the global tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
