17 boxes of gold bars being transported to Dubai intercepted by Ghana police at the airport

It is mostly said that Ghana is rich. The wealth of the country depends on the natural resources around us. The latest update from Kingdom News and other media handles confirmed that the Ghana Police Service under the leadership of IGP George Akuffo Dampare has intercepted about 17 boxes of gold being transported to Dubai illegally.

According to the video shared on the Facebook platform of Kingdom News, Ghanaians with their phones recorded the video from the scene and shared it with other media handles. The counting of the boxes was done by Ghanaians who were present at the scene when the police officers stopped the vehicle transporting gold boxes to the Airport. The report added that the gold bars retrieved by the Ghana Police Service are currently under the custody of the police officers At the Greater Accra Police

“Breaking News Ghana Police intercepted 17 boxes of Gold being transported illegally to Dubai. They were busted at Aviance Kotoka Airport in Ghana. The gold bars have been escorted to the Greater Accra Regional Police Headquarters”. – Official Statement from Kingdom News stated on Facebook confirmed.

Ghanaians reacted to the news in various forms as they pointed figures to some of the top politicians in Ghana to be behind this illegal transportation of gold bars from the country. Some people also reflected on the illegal mining in Ghana and how our lands and vegetation were destroyed in search of Gold.ope
