Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Lawyer Anthony Anamoo has refuted accusations of arrogance levelled against him by a former member of the Communications Team of the party in the region.
Wilson Dabuo in a series of accusations against the party chairman alleged that Lawyer Anthony Anamoo is vindictive, intolerant to criticisms and a source of frustration for Communicators of the party in the Upper East Region.
The former Communicator of the NPP in the region further accused the Regional Chairman of squandering monies and other logistics meant to be given to persons who Communicate for the party in the region.
The NPP Communicator’s outburst follows a thread of similar accusations raised by a former District Chief Executive for Bolgatanga East District Prof. Emmanuel Abugre Abole against the Regional Chairman.
But responding to the issues on Zuarungu based Word Fm monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Lawyer Anthony Anamoo said persons who have raised such accusations against him are frustrated human beings who have misdescribed him in the manner they do.
He stressed that he has worked hard as a party chairman since he assumed office and has instituted measures to ensure that Communicators of the party are well catered for.
While dismissing claims that he receives over Ghc 50, 000 monthly for the welfare of party Communicators, the Regional Chairman stated that such a monetary arrangement does not exist. However, remuneration for persons who Communicate for the party goes through the Director of Communications of the party and not him.
“I’m not vindictive, I’m a kind-hearted person. Am a team player and I’m somebody who has tried so hard to serve my party and I did that to the best of my ability. All those who work actually worked for the party during the run-up to the 2020 elections. They know the work we did. There was no Constituency that we did not visit on official duty. Therefore, for somebody to describe me as vindictive then that person doesn’t know the person he is talking about. He doesn’t know me,” he said.
On finances of the party, he stressed that “I’m so disciplined when it comes to money and therefore I never touch the money for the regional secretariat let alone for communication team”.
