The National Association of Graduate Teacher(NAGRAT) has said the Ministry of Education (MoE )has no power to appoint head teachers and head mistresses for schools in Ghana.

Mr Akosah Deputy PRO for ministry of Education in an interview with Bohyeba Afriyie on plan B FM’s Ebanoosen revealed why they have have asked teachers who will like to be heads to submit their Application letters.

He said that the NAGRAT in his best of knowledge should have requested for clarification before openly opposing to it.

He said that it is not their duty and they are not trying to dictate for any of the Agencies but rather following the introduction of stem education they will need more head teacher hence the reason for the PSA.

He concluded that the Ministry Of Education is one that allows all Agencies under them operate independently
