Samuel Ramsey alias ‘TT’, a resident of Tema Community 3 has called for increased attention and investment in Ghanaian women.

Women have widely been regarded as society’s most vulnerable because of their peculiar challenges.

Samuel Ramsey during a visit to the premises of Plan B FM days after this year’s Mother’s Day celebration which feel on Sunday, May 9, 2021, noted that there is the need to create a platform where women’s needs and challenges can be discussed to aid advocacy for their empowerment.

“We need to take a second look at our women in this country. We need to investment more on women. We inject huge sums of money in education and infrastructure, I will urge the government to also give women their share of the national cake,” he said.

“Ghana is 64 years now, we’ve borrowed since independence, yet we are still underdeveloped. We need to give out some of  these monies to our mothers so they can take care of their children and I hope when we do that nobody will go hungry in this country” he added.

Concluding he pointed out that if a certain number of national leadership roles are given to women, the country will see a drastic improvement adding that women in leadership roles have proven to be efficient and trustworthy.
