Hasaacas Ladies Football Club’s chances of progressing to the second phase of the qualifiers to the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League are in serious danger after picking up just a point from two games.

The Sekondi based side lost 3-0 to Nigeria’s Edo Queens in its second game in the WAFU Zone B qualifiers at the Stade de la Paix Bouake in Cote D’Ivoire.

Prior to the game, Ghana’s representative in the competition, Hasaacas, surprisingly drew goalless with Omnisport from Burkina Faso.

Edo Queens hammered AS Garde from Niger 5-0 in their opening game and have all but secured top spot in Group B after beating Hasaacas to pick up six points from two games.

Peace Emem Essien scored twice in the game in the 57th and 67th minute respectively before Olajumoke Abideen killed off the tie in the 87th minute.

In the group’s other game, Omnisport thrashed AS Garde 6-1 to move to second place in the group with four points.

Omnisport’s Adama Congo was named as the Best Player of the Match; Only the top two ranked teams progress to the next round.
