Woman Who Stole GHC150 Worth Of Onions Breaks Jail At Old Fadama

A middle-aged woman Fati Mohammed has absconded from Police custody after she was arrested for stealing a basket full of onions worth GHC 150.

According to a Police situational report sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Fati Mohammed was arrested by Elene Ankrah who she stole the onions from and was brought to the James Town Police on January 31, 2022.

Fati and Elena after they were paraded before the James Town Police Commander were being sent to the Old Fadama Police station.

Upon reaching the Old Fadama Police station, Fati Mohammed who is acclimatized with the area took to her heels through the clustered area and could not be recaptured by the Police.

The Investigator on the case has since been given ten days to recapture the victim for investigations to continue.
