Tension mounts in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Manhyia North Constituency as scores of party delegates and supporters gathered to call on party executives to rescind their decision to appoint the Ashanti Regional NADMO Coordinator, Hon. Isaac Kwabena Senkyire as Election Committee Chairman for the parting ahead of its internal party elections.
The aggrieved party delegates claim the Hon., does not only have a personal interest in the upcoming elections, he is actually behind all the woes of the party in the constituency since 2013.
The Polling Station Chairman of Mosi Zongo, who appears to be leader of the aggrieved group has said the party doesn’t seem to have learnt its lessons. He makes the claim that, the problems of the party in parliament are results of similar past decisions hence, he is calling on party executives to reverse that decision.
Other members of the angry group of delegates have said they simply cannot look on for Hon., Senkyire to be Election Committee Chair for the constituency the have worked tirelessly for all these years. They say they simply can’t work with him. They have since sworn there would be no peace in the constituency if party executives refuse to heed their calls.
