Samuel Aborbi, popularly known as Aban, has issued a strong warning to the Electoral Commission and other stakeholders about the upcoming general elections. Speaking on the Nkosuo Nsem program with Obidehye Kofi Sakyi, Aborbi, a prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), stressed that his party would not tolerate any attempts by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Electoral Commission to manipulate the electoral process.
Aborbi underscored the NDC’s commitment to justice and transparency, emphasizing the importance of fair elections in maintaining peace. “If there is no justice, there is no peace,” he stated emphatically. He called on the Peace Council to intensify efforts to ensure that the electoral process is free, fair, and devoid of irregularities that could undermine the will of the people.
In his remarks, Aborbi attributed the growing dissatisfaction among Ghanaians to the high cost of living under the current administration. He noted that the NDC is confident of victory in the elections because citizens are prepared to vote based on the economic hardships they are facing.
“The people of Ghana are ready to hold the NPP accountable. We will vote based on the unbearable high cost of living, and we will not allow anyone to rig this election,” he declared.
