We Will Miss Nana Yaw Amponsah – Phar Rangers

Head Coach of Division One League Football Club Phar Rangers, Isaac Armah has welcomed the decision by the President to lift the ban on contact sports.

After six months of football suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic, the go-ahead was given by President Nana Akuffo Addo during his 17th COVID-19 address to the nation on Sunday September 20.

Speaking on the Ka Wadwen Sports Show on Plan B FM, Nii Odoom said they would need six weeks to prepare adequately for the new season as most of their players have been away for six months.

“I have missed coaching; we’ve not had football since March and I am happy it’s coming back again.”

“I am very thankful to the President for lifting the ban. He has listened to our cry and granted us our wish”, he added

Nii Odoom aslo paid a glowing tribute to Nana Yaw Amponsah who was once the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Phar Rangers before he was appointed CEO by Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

“We have missed Nana Yaw Amponsah so much. He was a good leader during his time with us.”

“He set up a strong and committed team to manage the club when he left.”

“Even though we feel his absence but I believe the current administration are equal to the task”, he concluded.
