The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Tema Central Constituency, Kingsley Ackah, has stated that the party firmly believes in the rule of law.
Following the December 7 polls, disputes arose in several constituencies, including Tema Central. A court has since ordered the Electoral Commission (EC) to re-collate and declare the parliamentary results for the constituency.
“As far as the NDC is concerned, there has been no legitimate declaration by the Electoral Commission,” Ackah said.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem show, hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Monday, January 6, 2025, the Communications Officer expressed disappointment in what he described as lawlessness on the part of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“If the Electoral Commission and the court fail to act on the earlier decision, the good people of Tema Central know very well that Hon. Ebi Bright is the MP-elect, as declared by the EC,” he asserted.
Ackah further accused the Tema Metro Director of the Electoral Commission of engaging in illegal activities.
