‘We Don’t Want Him’ – Pastor In Trouble Over GH¢400 Bribe

‘We Don’t Want Him’ – Pastor In Trouble Over GH¢400 Bribe
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Our General Meeting is purposely to decide, whether Pastor Bismarck Amoatia can continue his service with us as our area head or not. Whatever decision we take today, shall be by the majority rule. Let us all be guided when it’s time, Caretaker Owua Raymond said in his opening message to welcome the Living Faith Church Members to their 27th General Meeting.

The meeting which was purposely for a vote, ended well for the church members as the majority rejected their pastor in a vote. Ladies and gentlemen, from the poll of 156 voters; there was no spoilt ballot. The Stay, was 9. Out of the 156 voters, only 9 has agreed for Pastor Bismarck Amoatwi to stay. The Go is 147.

This means that, the vote of whether Pastor Amoatwi should stay as our pastor or leave, has been successful. He must go, the people have decided. We don’t want him, and that is final, caretaker Owua Raymond stated after reading the votes to the members present at the meeting.

Pastor Amoatwi who was absent from the voting, did not make any comments when the members voted against him this morning at the Living Faith Church auditorium. He is said to have embezzled an amount of Three Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty-Six cedis (GH¢3,236) from church coffers.

He further tried bribing auditors with an amount of Four Hundred Cedis (GH¢400) when he was caught by external auditors who were auditing the church financial statements on 16 January 2022. The church elders of the Living Faith Ministry, acting by their Church Disciplinary ACT II, called for a vote to decide whether the members of the church still wanted the pastor staying or leaving the church after the bribery issues with the auditors.

The 156 church members who were present at the church’s 27th General Meeting, voted to oust the pastor. Pastor Amoatwi Raymond will not just be leaving the Living Faith Ministry but will be answering to the Kotwi Police over the missing Three Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty-Six cedis (GH¢3,236) which he was said to have stolen from church coffers in December 2021.

He may end up in jail if he is found guilty of theft.
