The Omanhene of Mankessim Traditional Area, Osaagyefo Amanfo Adu IV has disclosed that, Mankessim Traditional Area don’t own any “Tufohene” called Nana Clark Onyaa as speculating in the media space therefore, Mankessim name shouldn’t be linked with the recent murder of an aspiring trainee nurse, Georgina Asor Botwey.
Speaking on Darling 90.9 fm today 22nd September, 2022, he said, some of the Media headlines “throw more stones” from the story to Mankessim rather than its place of origin.
According to him, some of the media reportage is a matter of concern to the Tradional Area since some of the captions read ” Chief of Mankessim “with the Mankessim name tagged with such a case meanwhile, the suspect has the original home of his title.
“He is the Tufohene of Ekumfi Traditional Area and not Mankessim and we must note that, since Mankessim has a name all neighbouring communities do most of their activities here and that’s why some of the media personnel are attributing it to the city since it is popular”, he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the accused were put before the Coast Coast District Court 2 presided over by Her Worship, Bernice Mensima Ackon today September 22, 2022
They were charged with conspiracy to commit crime to wit murder and murder, contrary to section 46 of the Criminal and other offences Act 1980, Act 29.
The prosecutor, DSP Daniel Gadzo pleaded with the court to give them some time to conclude their investigations hence the case has been adjourned to 4th October, 2022.
