Mr Alhassan Baba, President of Ashaiman Corporative Transport  Union has called on the Government to quickly respond to their grievances.

The Coalition Of Private Transport Operators have begun its sit-down strike today Monday December 6, 2021 after several postponements.

The aim of the strike according, to them is to compel the government to reduce fuel prices that they say are causing their businesses to nosedive.

They have also threatened to increase transport fares to push the burden to passengers if the strike fails to yield the expected result.

In an interview with Plan B FM this morning, he indicated that the sit down strike is as result of the rapid increase of the prices of fuel and from previous meetings between the Government and the national transport union yielded no positive result hence the commencement of the strike this morning December 6, 2021

He also stated that they are waiting for directives from the National heads before they call off their strike and get back to work.
