In a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Berekum Road on November 2, 2024, seven people died instantly, including five women and two men, after a Toyota Corolla with registration AS 4819-17 collided head-on with a Great Wall Voleex, registered GN5753-12.

According to eyewitnesses and video footage posted on social media, potholes on the road likely contributed to the collision, raising concerns about road safety conditions in the area.
