The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has released letter calling on all its members to withdraw their services effective Monday, August 2.
This announcement comes on the back of the numerous concerns raised by he teacher union had since the beginning of July over their conditions of service, warning an industrial action if the government does not see a fruitful resolution of their concerns
The Association says tension is mounting between its leadership and members due to the posture of the government towards their service conditions, leaving them with no option but to move forward with their action.
The letter released by the leadership strongly urges teachers on various campuses in the country to comply with the strike directive.
