Sicknesses have been one major problem that mankind is battling since its creation.
There are a lot of life-threatening sicknesses that have contributed to so many untimely death among humans that attention was not paid to.
Speaking with Dr. Eric Amoah the director of Aid-life Herbal Research Hospital on Plan B FM’s weekend health show dubbed “APOMUDEN FIE” on Urinary Tract Infection (U.T.I), he explained that UTI is the gateway to all sickness in the human body if it is not attended to.
He stressed that the many factors that contribute are lack of fluid intake, holding urine, Poor personal hygiene, Pregnancy,Presence of underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, renal stones, and prostatitis
Sexual intercourse can increase the risk of UTIs in women because bacteria from the vagina may enter the urethra and cause the infection.
“Men and women who often masturbate are very vulnerable to getting U.T.I.
To prevent U.T.I Dr. Eric Amoah explained that drinking plenty of water, at least 2.5 liters per day
Regular drinking of cranberry juice, Not holding urine, Urinating after sexual intercourse Proper personal hygiene, and Wiping from front to back after urinating or bowel movement.
Lastly, Dr. Amoah advised the general public to go for regular check-ups to know their status.
