Uncle Ato calls out leaders who avoid responsibility

Character assassination leads to voting apathy – CHRAJ
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nyansapofie show, Uncle Ato didn’t mince words as he challenged the growing trend of leaders dodging accountability. He argued that genuine leadership begins with the courage to confront one’s own missteps—“taking the bull by the horn,” as he put it—rather than constructing elaborate excuses to escape blame.

He lamented how some leaders instinctively slip into victim mode, painting themselves as unfairly targeted even when their own decisions triggered the problems at hand. This pattern, he noted, not only erodes trust but also creates a cycle where mediocrity thrives because no one is held to a standard.

Uncle Ato stressed that accountability is not optional; it is the backbone of progress. Whether in the home, the corporate space, or national leadership, he said, responsibility and transparency must be non-negotiable qualities. Without them, he warned, institutions will continue to stagnate under the weight of poor decisions and unacknowledged failures.
