Parts of the UK have been hit by earthquakeas residents’ homes were left shaking with an “almighty noise”.
Residents across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire have reported feeling heavy tremors after a quake hit the region.
According to the British Geological Survey it struck at about 8.20pm on Wednesday night.
Experts said it had a magnitude measuring 3.3.
All Quakes said earlier: “We are receiving unverified early reports of ground shaking possibly caused by seismic activity in or near Stoke-on-Trent, England, United Kingdom on 28 Jun 2023 (GMT) at approximately 21:19 BST.
“There are no details yet on the magnitude or depth of this possible quake. If confirmed, we can expect more accurate data to emerge in the next few minutes.”
