Black Stars duo, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer.
Plan B Sports checks indicate the two players have withdrawn from Ghana’s team ahead of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Morocco.
The two players, who were included in Ibrahim Tanko’s 29-man squad to begin preparations in Egypt ahead of the tournament were excused due to their involvement with the Black Stars of Ghana during the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
After the game on Sunday, June 18, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer were expected to meet the team in Egypt for the tournament but as of June 20, the lads did not show up.
Sulemana may make a reverse decision not to represent Ghana at the U23 AFCON.
Also, German-born Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer, who plays for Hamburg, will not be making an appearance in Morocco.
Ernest Nuamah, who plays FC Nordsjaelland has reportedly been spotted in camp and settling in well and is likely to play a part in the team’s second test game ahead of the U-23 AFCON.
Ghana will commence the tournament with a game against Congo on June 25, 2023, then face the host nation, Morocco and end the group stages on June 30 with a match against Guinea.
