Sandra Amoako, 28, has been found dead this morning at her apartment in Atebubu. The teacher with Atebubu Catholic Primary school was found dead when her two friends reported to the Atebubu Government Hospital that, Sandra had collapsed.

Hospital officials at Atebubu Government Hospital after examining the body in the morning confirmed Sandra dead. She did not collapse and neither did she die in her sleep, but was poisoned to death, medical officials at Atebubu Government Hospital confirmed to the police in the morning.

The police acting with the preliminary test conducted on Sandra has initiated the arrest of two people whom the police believe, may have a hand in Sandra’s death. The two women; Vida Oppong and Alice Takyi, were arrested at 8 AM today after a report from Atebubu Government Hospital confirmed Sandra dead.

The two has denied poisoning the deceased, but several kinds of chemicals were found in Sandra’s apartment. The police believe the chemicals may have been the same chemical used in Sandra’s life. The police are working on the chemicals whiles an autopsy is been scheduled on Sandra’s body to determine the proven cause of death.

Case Briefing

Vida Oppong, a friend of Sandra, had moved from Swedru to Atebubu to spend the Christmas holidays with Sandra after the two (Vida and Sandra), had been in a fight for over two years. Sandra, scheduled for a traditional wedding on 26 February 2022, had settled her differences with Vida hoping to have her as a bridesmaid.

Alice Takyi, the second friend of the deceased, had forced the two; Vida and Sandra to make amends in November 2021 and it was there, Sandra revealed that she was getting married in February 2022.

Sandra invited the two friends over for the Christmas holidays in a bid to plan for her upcoming wedding. The two friends, Vida and Alice, had been living with Sandra from 24 December the two arrived in Atebubu to last night, when the friends had their last dinner together.

Vida who made the cooking shared the food with Alice and Sandra but Sandra was found dead this morning. Something the police believes to have been planned. Sandra was getting married to the same man she was alleged to have snatched from Vida in 2018, and it was with that argument that ended their friendship until November 2021, when they came back together as three friends.

The police believe a foul play may have been played on Sandra by Vida since Sandra took her boyfriend in 2018. The police are investigating the case.
