Two children have lost their lives in Alajo in Accra in a horrifying manner. The two children, Farida and Frank died as they got locked up in a Mercedes Benz car parked in the area. Residents in the area have been thrown into a state of shock as a result of this incident. The ages of the deceased children are two and three years. According to a resident who went in search of the children, Yaw Asiedu, their mothers reported to him and other men of their missing children. They searched the whole area and even went to other places but could not find them.

After over five hours of search, they decided to search the cars which were parked in front of a mechanic and a young boy who was helping them search found them in the second car they searched in. They thought the children were asleep since it had crept into the evening. But when they touched them their bodies had become hard and cold and they realized the children had died. The mothers of the deceased children, Grace and Edinam said the two children were playing together in the afternoon. But they realized they were not in the vicinity when it was getting to the evening.

They started searching for them and even went to announce their missing children. The man in charge of the mechanic shop where the car was parked, Kyei Darkwa said his boss had travelled and he was looking after the place. However, he had gone out when he received a call that some children had died in one of his cars at the shop. He was invited by the police for his statement to aid in investigations.

The Kotobabi Police personnel came for the bodies of the deceased. For now, it is alleged that the car may have locked itself after the children entered the car, and they have died due to the heat and little air in the locked car.
