Two burnt to death in fire outbreak at Lower Manya Krobo

Fire Destroys About 10 Shops At Tamale Aboabo Market

Two persons have burnt to death in a domestic fire outbreak at Kodjonya, a suburb of Lower Manya Krobo in Eastern region. The fire outbreak occured Tuesday, March 31st, 2026.

The victims were reportedly burnt beyond recognition while asleep.

One person was however rescued but sustained life threatening burns .

The victim is on admission at the emergency ward of Akuse Government hospital.

Personnel from the Ghana Police Service at the Odumase-Krobo District Police Command, together with officers from the Ghana National Fire Service at the Kpong Fire Station, have commenced investigations into the cause of the fire.

The deceased have been deposited at the morgue.
