Training Should Start From Homes – Counselor Jonas Kudowu

Youth counselor, Jonas Kudowu has asserted that the truest way to achieving a just and disciplined society is by keenly enduing children with sound training from home.

He questioned the practice where parents and guardians relegated the training of their wards to schoolteachers without properly monitoring their upbringing.

Speaking to host, Maxwell Ohene Addo, on Plan B FM’s morning show; Nkɔsoɔ Nsɛm, the counselor urged parents to prioritize the upbringing of their children and monitor their social development in order to keep them primed for the future.

“We need to pay a lot of attention to how we are raising our kids. The times we are in requires parents to be solidly committed to the development of their children otherwise we are heading towards disaster”.

In addressing matters of indiscipline in schools, the counselor condemned the appalling behavior of some final year students who vandalized school property and verbally abused national leaders amid the ongoing WASSCE while insisting it was vital to put in disciplinary measures to deter others from engaging in such misconducts.

He urged all stakeholders in the education sector to firm up their efforts in maintaining high standards of discipline in academic institutions while urging human rights campaigners to apply due diligence in the performance of their roles in order to achieve a balanced social atmosphere for national development.
