The Togolese government has withdrawn from hosting the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship scheduled to start on 18 November – 2 December, 2020 due to the sharp rise in the coronavirus numbers in the country.

The government has written to CAF that it cannot guarantee the safety of the players, officials of the various teams and hence, the decision to pull out.

The Black Satellites were in camp preparing for the tournament and will now have to dissolve camp based on the new development.
