Three persons; Eva Obeng, Assumadu Kwesi and Dzifa Akono has been arrested by the Oforikrom Police department following their immense contribution in a road accident that nearly took five lives this morning. Eva the woman in the mid of the three arrestees, narrated that, she had no idea what Dzifa Akono and Kwesi Assumadu had planned for her until they reach the Three junctions early this morning. Eva was to throw herself on the bonnet of cars branching from the main road to the three junctions, and as a result, get minor injuries from the car that will hit her. Because it is a junction from the main road, whatever car that will use it will use a low or minimum speed of not more than 20km/p to navigate the three junctions from the main road.
Eva was assured of minor injuries from some defaulted drivers and no injuries from the others, because of the minimum speed the cars will be driving at. By so doing, any car she throws herself onto will accidentally hit her and the two men, Kwesi Assumadu and Dzifa Akono will come from their hiding places blaming the said driver and extorting money from him. They will make the driver defenceless to his actions thereby blaming him for the whole accident which has already been planed by the two men.
Eva agreed woefully because of the money involved, the two men had promised her enough money to take care of herself for two years, and willingly agreed to do it. They were not far from right when the first car, a sequoia SUV came through and Eva managed to throw herself on the hood of the car. They ended up taking the eight hundred cedis from the driver on the accounts that, Eva was going to use the money for hospital bills.
The second car they tried it on, caused three other cars into crashing each other simultaneously. A Kia Rio hatchback was carrying a collapsed woman heading to the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital and Eva still couldn’t sense the car was in emergency state and tried throwing herself onto the black car carrying the dying woman.
They might have thought nobody saw them planing evil on the road this morning, but our eyewitness, another female saw them plan everything and how they managed to even dupe the sequoia driver and tried repeating the same method on the Kia Rio driver. Their actions caused a needless accident and will be treated according to the law, assured Oforikrom Police officers before taking the three arrestees away.
The driver of the Kia Rio hatchback tried saving Eva when he veered off his lane to the other lane causing two other cars to hit him simultaneously. The collapsed woman was taken to the hospital in a different car along with the driver of the Black Kia Rio. The other two people who were sitting at the back of the Kia with the collapsed woman were all taken to the hospital in a different car.
The back seat passenger of the ash-coloured corolla was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries. There were no casualties and all five people critically injured, including the collapsed woman were all responding to treatment in their critical state at the hospital. A tip-off that came from a pedestrian, alerted the Oforikrom police of the cause of the accident and the three persons were arrested before leaving the accident scenes.
