“Think Before You Link: Weigh Up The Whats And Whys” – ADR Expert

ADR Expert Warns: ”Marriage is a Risk with No Exit Clause”

Mary Bright Abelenma Coffie, a multifaceted professional with expertise in fashion design, youth counselling, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), has advised the public to exercise caution when entering relationships by weighing up the fundamental aspects.

In an exclusive interview with host Nana Asabea on Plan B FM’s social and lifestyle programme, ‘Nyansapɔ Fie’, Auntie May, as she is affectionately known, elucidated that: “When entering a relationship, do not be swayed by superficial charms. Look beyond the surface and consider the person’s true character. Ask yourself: What am I bringing to the table? What is the purpose of this relationship? What are the potential consequences of our union?”

She further advised: “Reflect on why you need this relationship and whether your values align. When your values match, the relationship can weather any storm. Be prepared for the ups and downs, and prioritise compatibility over fleeting attractions. Consider the long-term implications and be ready to navigate challenges together.”

Her advice underscores the importance of substance over superficiality, self-reflection, and compatibility in relationships.
