There’s No Money For 6th March Celebration Tomorrow – Presidency

There’s No Money For 6th March Celebration Tomorrow – Presidency
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

There was massive reaction from Ghanaians After the Chief of staff Madam Akosua Frema Opare Confirmed the sad news.

The usual happiness and fun fair which always characterise 6th March Celebration in Ghana could be missing tomorrow. Sad News Coming From the Presidency indicates that, , there is no money coming from the Presidency to celebrate the festive occasion. This was announced by the Chief of Staff in a memorandum.

Meanwhile, the Presidency through the Chief of Staff has directed all Regional Ministers and District Coordinating Directors to ” do something moderately small” in their various regions and Districts.

That means, any Regional Minister or District Coordinating Director who celebrates or organise any big durbar, does so at their own expenses. The Presidency won’t give you a penny.

In reacting to the news, some Facebook users realised that this has never happened before. They further advised government to change it’s decision.

Meanwhile, some of them were happy about the development. This is because they don’t see the reason why government should spend so much on 6th March.

check out the memo as shared by TV3 and some of the reactions.
