A prominent university lecturer, Lady Marilyn Abeka-Daniels, has sounded a crucial warning to the younger generation, advising them to thoughtfully select their careers, as the consequences of their choices can have a lasting impact.
In a candid discussion with host Nana Asabea on Plan B FM’s popular programme, “Nyansapɔ Fie”, Lady Abeka-Daniels, an adjunct lecturer at the University of Media, Arts and Communication’s Institute of Journalism (UNIMAC-IJ), stressed that ill-informed career decisions can lead to a lifetime of regret. “Choose your career wisely, lest you regret it later in life,” she cautioned.
She attributed fear of failure, peer pressure, and hasty decision-making to poor career choices, which can have a negative and lasting impact on one’s life.
Beyond career choices, Lady Abeka-Daniels also underscored the significance of other pivotal decisions, including daily routines, relationships, financial management, spiritual growth, and moral integrity.
She emphasised that these decisions collectively shape one’s life trajectory, influencing not only worldly success but also spiritual well-being and moral character.
“Your choices have consequences that can impact your life’s purpose and direction,” she advised.
