Several cars and engines have burnt down to ashes at a Car sales and fitting company in Kasoa. Central Automotive Company Limited deals in car repair, sales and the selling of its parts in Kasoa brigade.

The company caught fire and several cars both new and those for repair have been utterly destroyed. According to the managing director of the company, Mr Daniel Kwasi Boadu, the lights in the area were being turned on and off severally by the ECG.

Due to this, the voltage might have risen after it was turned on again another time and the meters sparked the fire. The fire increased and spread throughout the building. He added that his loss can be totalled an amount of GH₵ 600,000.

He blamed the ECG in Kasoa for causing such damage and loss to him and his customers. The Weija fire service commander ADO II Eric Dufuo confirmed that indeed the fire started from the meter and advised companies to put off their meters by the close of work to avoid such instances from occurring.
