Tescon President of Tamale Technical University has been arrested by the northern Regional police command for alleging that the Regional Minister, who dressed casually to welcome the President this week, did not take his bath.

In an interview with the president of Students Representative Council (SRC), Dauda Gafaru on Radio Tamale’s evening talkshow, dubbed – “Be Citizens, Not Spectators”, the SRC president narrated the arrest, saying the issue has been blown out of proportion.

“The Northern Regional minister allegedly made Ghana police service to arrest the person who made this comment when Radio Tamale posted his pictures when he was in slippers during the president’s visit to the region.

This person who made the comment is the Tescon president for Tamale Technical University. This arrest was done at the University’s SRC secretariat when he Sayiby Afa Yaba went there to have some interaction with the SRC president.

The police came with a V8 and made this arrest with the reason that the lady who replied Sayiby Afa Yaba’s comment “nonsense” was allegedly attacked by the TESCON president” Dauda Gafaru narrated

He is still at police custody to assist with investigation. Meanwhile, some section of the student body have started protesting on social media for the release of the the guy.
