Police at Bortianor, a town within the Weija District of the Greater Accra, has caused the arrest of two persons after an early morning fight at Oshiyie claimed the life of one person; Salima Dauda. Salima, 26, was going to stop the two men from fighting when one of the men picked a broken bottle and tried stabbing the other man. Unfortunately for Salima; the fight rescuer who wanted to rescue both men from fighting, she got stabbed in the stomach when the other man tried stabbing his opponent.
Salima Dauda, the eldest daughter of Alhaji Rathan Dauda, was stabbed once in her stomach as Brian Johnson, 37, tried stabbing his opponent, Ibrahim Mohammad. Brain, a tenant at Alhaji Dauda’s house was alleged to have been beaten mercilessly by Ibrahim Mohammad, Alhaji Dauda’s son. Brain in pains of been beaten, took a glass club bottle and smashed it on the floor before going to attack Ibrahim.
Ibrahim Mohammad, the youngest son of Alhaji Rathan Dauda, was hiding behind his siter Salima Dauda when Brian Johnson came to him with the armed weapon. Salima in an attempt to save his brother from been harmed, served as a shield to her brother to prevent Johnson from getting closer, but the woman did not survive the attack when Brain Johnson used the broken bottle to stab her to her death.
Salima was confirmed dead when she was taken to the Rogadam Hospital in Bortianor. Brian Johnson, the suspect tried fleeing the scenes of the accident after stabbing Salima but residents were quick to grab him and self arrested him until the arrival of the Bortianor police officers. Police Officer Maxwel Akpal, the arresting officer did not spare Ibrahim Mohammed after they arrested the suspect, Brian Johnson.
Both Brian Johnson and Ibrahim Mohammad has been taken away to the Bortianor police station whiles Salima’s body is waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. It is alleged the two men; Brian Johnson and Ibrahim Mohammed were fighting over Four Hundred Cedis, which lead to the death Salima, the landlord, Alhaji Dauda’s daughter.
