The Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Tema West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Christian Dela Akpetor, has called on the President of the Republic of Ghana to consider appointing a representative from the Tema Region.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem show, hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Monday, February 24, 2025, Mr. Dela Akpetor emphasized that none of the current appointees are from Tema.

He explained that the Tema Region comprises Tema West, Tema Central, Tema East, Ashaiman, and Kpone-Katamanso.

“In recognizing the Tema Region, the Member of Parliament for the Tema West Constituency, Lawyer James Enu, deserves at least a deputy ministerial appointment,” he stated.

“There are five more deputy ministerial positions left, and I am appealing to H.E. John Dramani Mahama to consider Lawyer Enu for one of them,” he added.

Mr. Dela Akpetor further stressed that neglecting the people of Tema in ministerial appointments would not be beneficial.

“Mr. President, please extend your ministerial nominations to the Tema Region,” he urged.
