Workers of the Bollore Transport & Logistics /Antrak Ghana have embarked on demonstration at the company’s office asking for the removal from office the Managing Director Mr. Thuibaut Lame whom they accuse of do not seeking the welfare of the employees and corruption.

The workers who began the protest action on Thursday December 9, 2021 are demanding unconditional dismissal of the company’s Managing Director Thuibaut Lame and the company’s Human Resource Manager.

The workers were clad in red with some of them wielding placards with inscriptions “Thuibaut Must Go” “If Thuibaut No Go, No Work”. They told the media that they were serious about their quest to get their MD removed from office.

They blocked the entrance of the company and promised to ensure that no vehicle entered or moved out of the company’s premises so as to send a signal to the owners of the company. Plan-B FM’s investigation into the demonstration revealed that the action of the demonstrator’s brought to halt the operations of the company.

In an interview with Plan-B news at the scene, the workers mentioned that the manager has been reason for a lot of challenges the company is currently going through hence their demand for his removal from office as the man who is at the helm of affairs.

They accused him taking bribes from clients and transporters and also not seeking the welfare of employees. They further accused him as someone who was not interested in the improvement of the company adding that his actions over a period of time has shown that he is not the right man to improve the company’s lot.

Some of them alleged that employees were promised an increment in salary and were made to work for longer period of time during the peak of COVID-19. They stated that they were yet to see the increment in the salary as promised by the MD and his management team.

They pointed out that rules and regulations governing the company does not permit workers to take bribes but the MD does that with impunity.

Other also alleged that for well over three years, workers have engaged the management members of the company with a view to addressing challenges workers face in the discharge of their duties as employees of the company. They claimed that nothing has been done about and that for them is worrying.

They were of the view that the removal of the MD will pave way for the resolution of the challenges they face in the company.
