The wait to know, who becomes the Municipal Chief Executives of Tema Metropolitan Assembly and Tema West Municipal Assembly is over as new names have been announced to replace two persons who served in those capacities during President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first term in office.
Mr. Felix Mensah Nii Annang-La prior to today’s announcement had served as the Chief Executive for Tema Municipal Assembly (TMA) while Mrs. Adwoa Amoak served as the Municipal Chief Executive for Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA). The two will not serving in those capacities again as President Akufo-Addo has now replaced them bring ends to their tenure as the Chief Executives for the two aforementioned assemblies.
During a press briefing in Accra on Sunday, September 19, 2021, Dan Botwe, Local Government Minister announced Yohane Armah Ashitey as replacement for Felix Mensah Annang-La as the Mayor Chief Executive for TMA while Anna Adukwe Addo takes over from Adwoa Amoako as the new Chief Executive for Tema West.
Prior to today’s announcement, there were reports that the two were going to be replaced with poor performance alleged to be the reason for their removal from office by the President.
