Iman Suleman Bamba, a Teacher at Bibiani Old Town JHS has accused the NPP Nasara Cordinator of the Western North and the MCE Hon. Alfred Amoah of being behind missing computers meant for students of the Bibiani Old Town JHS.
The Zongo Development Ministry presented 25 computers to the school to aid final year students prepare for the Basic Education Certificate Exams (BECE) slated for November 15, 2021
Speaking on ‘Ebaanosen’ Plan B FM with Bohyeba Afriyie, Suleman Bamba said the school currently have 10 out of the 25 received and 15 cannot be accounted for.
“I was excited when I heard that the Zongo Development Ministry has provided 25 computers for the school. We needed a place to keep the machines because the computer laboratory was not ready at the time, so all the teachers agreed to vacate our staff room for the computers. On 1st June, the MCE told the Headmaster that officials from the Zongo Development Ministry are coming to commission the project, so we told them the lab is not ready and moreover there is no electricity so how is that going to be done”
“Indeed, they went ahead and hired a couple of engineers to come and fix the computers in the uncompleted computer Lab with no electricity. So we went to find out only to see 10 out of the 25 computers with the rest nowhere to be found. We have tried every means to get the rest of the computers from the MCE and the Nasara coordinator but nothing concrete has come out of it. We are appealing to the authorities to come to our aid so these students can prepare for their exams,” he said.
