Store wisely, live safely” – GNFS ADO I Ebenezer Gaizie

Stop attacking fire fighters – GNFS urges Ghanaians
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Tema Divisional Ghana National Fire Service has emphasised the need for systematic storage as it leads to a fire-free home.

“Having kitchen organisation and safety by having cabinets and designated spaces for items like utensils, containers, and other kitchen essentials separately can really help with efficiency and safety, especially when it comes to keeping flammable materials away from heat sources,” he said. He added that creating a functional and safe kitchen space is crucial.

To break fire travel distance, he advised considering fire-resistant materials in the kitchen, compartmentalisation by dividing spaces into sections to contain fires, storing flammable materials safely, and installing fire suppression systems, as these measures can help slow or stop fire spread.

He spoke in an interview with Nana Asabea on Plan B FM’s social and lifestyle programme, “Nyansapɔ Fie”.
