STMA strips 2023 Overall Best Farmer off title

STMA strips 2023 Overall Best Farmer off title
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has stripped off the 2023 overall best farmer title from Osagyefo Rowel Stephen.

According to the Public Relations Officer for STMA, Mr John Laste indicated that Osagyefo Rowell Stephen entered the competition using a farm he had no ownership of.

Mr Laste revealed that Mr Osagyefo as the Agric head for Sekondi College used the school farm to contest for the competition in his name and not in the name of the school hence, the reason for this decision by the assembly.

He was speaking on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show today.

He said the school authorities had also claimed that they were not aware that agricultural extension officers had inspected the school farm for the competition.

The PRO further noted that the agricultural extension officers who did the farm inspection for the awards are being questioned and the assembly will make sure this mistake is not repeated.
