The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee for Youth & Sports has disclosed that sports minister Kofi Adams will soon brief the media about the Black Stars’ budget for their recent World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
This announcement comes amid public concern over the delay in revealing the expenses for these matches.
President John Mahama had previously promised that the budgets for national teams would be made public.
Speaking to Journalists in Parliament , Norgbey reassured the public that there was no reason to worry.
“The sports minister is prepping to brief the media very soon on the Black Stars budget for the Chad and Madagascar games. I am not sure there should be any cause for alarm.”
Ghana secured convincing wins over Chad and Madagascar in March, a much-needed boost after struggling in recent years.
The Black Stars’ 5-0 win over Chad and 3-0 victory against Madagascar have placed them at the top of Group I with 15 points, three points clear of Comoros.
Ghana will return to action in June 2025 for their next World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
