The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has hit the ground running after officially assuming the role.

In a crucial step, the Minister met with officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday, February 10.

The crunch meeting comes after President John Dramani Mahama admonished the Minister to commence reforming sports in Ghana by engaging with the Ghana FA.

“I expect that you concentrate on building up all the sporting disciplines. I know the Ghana Football Association would be a good place to start to make sure that we return the Black Stars to their glory days,” President Mahama stated after swearing in the new Sports Minister.

Sports Minister Kofi Adams is expected to hold other engagements with other stakeholders as part of efforts to reform sports in the country.

The Minister has been tasked to not only revive the Black Stars but also ensure sports holistically flourishes under the new government.
