Commentators are fuming with anger in reaction to a comment made by the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr. John Boadu in a video, which had since gone viral, was seen speaking in defence and attempted rationalisation of the transport minister’s illegal suspension of the toll both levy.
According to him, the minister only intervened to prevent confusions between drivers and the toll collectors. The speaker of Parliament’s directives that the minister erred is therefore not soundly grounded.
John Boadu, who was speaking in the Twi language, threw an insulting shade at Hon. Alban Bagbin.
“The speaker, who is speaking, why can’t he get up, go and collect the toll himself?” The NPP chief scribe retorted.
Almost every Netizen, who comes across the video on the social app, had one or two clapbacks to give to John Boadu.
Some have attributed this apparent disrespect to the third most important person of the land to power drunkenness, others have literally pointed to alcoholic drunkenness.
