The Kennedy Agyepong for president campaign team has bare teeth at the leadership of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) over what they describe as indiscipline in the party.
Speaking on Angel FM, Lawyer William Kusi who speaks for the Ken Agyapong campaign team indicated that, the “showdown” has started and that, they’ll not allow the indiscipline in the party to continue. He went on to call on the party hierarchy to be alert in that regard since they in the Ken campaign team will not leave any stone unturned.
Citing the public declaration of support for the vice president, HE Mahmoud Bawumia by the majority leader of Parliament Hon. Kyei Mensah-Bonsu as an example, Lawyer William Kusi stated that such declarations by party functionaries and national executives is against the guidelines and should not be counternaced.
In his view, the majority leader by his position is as good as the party’s General Secretary. Hence, if the General Secretary cannot publicly declare his support, then majority leader should’ve been invited for that declaration.
He indicated the resolve of the Kennedy Agyepong team to have such occurances checked and resolved
