See tall list of charges and duties at the port

Freight forwarders, trade bodies protest unfair charges by shipping lines in Ghana

Albert Nat Hyde popularly known online Bongo Ideas has revealed a tall list of charges and duties at the Port in Ghana.

Reacting to an X post by Tech in Twiwhich laments the high cost of duty one must pay on an imported car.

Taking to his social media page on X, Albert Nat Hyde listed a tall list of charges and duties at the port Ghanaians must deal with whenever they import goods into the country indicating “Ghanaian are not angry enough”.

– Import Duty Import VAT

– Processing Fee

– ECOWAS Levy

– Vehicle Examination Fee

– Network Charge

– Network Charge VAT

– Network Charge COVID-19 Health Ghana Shippers – Authority SNF Fee

– Import NHIL

– Network Charge NHIL GHS Disinfection Fee

– MoTI e-IDF Fee

– Special Import Levy (2%)

– Ghana Export-Import Bank (EXIM) Levy Ghana

– Education Trust (GET) Fund Import

– Network Charge GET Fund Levy

– African Union Import Levy

– COVID-19 Health Recovery Levy

These outrageous import duties and charges has placed an economic burden on Ghanaian citizens with many complaining bitterly.
