Some school feeding caterers in the Ashanti region have threatened to storm jubilee house to demand the two terms arrears the secretariat owes them.

Speaking to Nana Appiah a reporter in the Ashanti region on Plan B FM’s NKOSUONSEM on 4th April 2023, explained that the caterers decided to petition the regional Director of the Secretariat for the School Feeding Programme madam Mary Duodu but unfortunately, she was not at the office at that moment.
According to the reporter, the caterers decided to use the opportunity to hand over their petition to the regional minister Simon Osei Mensah to be given to madam Duodu but the minister disregarded the caterers and turn his back on them because he did not like the way they stormed the regional coordinating council with chants.

“If your child comes to you with chants in demand for a favor, will you be happy? You only brought a petition, why don’t you go ahead,” he said.

But some of the caterers retorted which infuriated the Minister to return to his office without receiving their petition.

The chants of the caterers continued until a delegation led by the Minister’s aide, Gloria Temmah Gambrah came to receive the petition.
They have threatened to throw away food from colleagues who go contrary to the decision.

Most caterers say they are being chased by their suppliers and banks where they secured loans for the contract.

“if you are not paying the arrears we will go to the Jubilee House to demand our arrears from the president himself, the caterers fumes.
