Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has called for reconciliation and unity within the Kantanka family following differences that emerged after the death of her father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo.
In a statement, Sarah Adwoa Safo said the time had come for the family to put aside differences, misunderstandings and grievances and focus on preserving the legacy of their late father.
She said she had chosen the path of reconciliation, founded on love, mutual respect and the enduring bonds of family.
Sarah Adwoa Safo also publicly acknowledged her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the leader of the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafu Church, pledging her full support and willingness to work with him in the interest of the family and the church.
“I have immense love and respect for my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, and in the spirit of honouring our father’s wishes, I publicly acknowledge and accept him as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafu Church,” she stated.
She stressed that their father’s legacy was bigger than any individual and constituted a collective inheritance and responsibility entrusted to his children.
According to her, the family must rise above its differences, preserve what their father built and ensure that his ideals continue to inspire future generations.
Sarah Adwoa Safo further appealed to members of the Kristo Asafu Church, the wider Kantanka family and individuals associated with her father’s work to acknowledge and respect the unity of the family.
She urged them to embrace a new chapter characterised by reconciliation, fraternity and a shared sense of purpose.
She also extended her goodwill and best wishes to Israel Kwadwo Safo and her other siblings, expressing hope that the renewed spirit of peace and forgiveness would bring healing, unity and renewed strength to the family as they work together to advance their late father’s legacy.
