Sammi Awuku resigns as Director General of NLA

NLA Boss Sammi Awuku Drags Abena Korkor To CID Over Death Threats

According to Mynewsgh.com,  Samuel Awuku has resigned as the Director General of the National Lottery Authority, effective January 13, 2025.

In a letter signed by Mr. Awuku, he explained that he has been elected as the Member of Parliament for the Akwapim North constituency and has been duly sworn in to represent his constituents.

“In the light of this new responsibility, I wish to focus my efforts on serving as a Member of Parliament,” he said.

Samuel Awuku was appointed as the Director General of the National Lottery Authority by the erstwhile Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration in August 2021. His appointment was confirmed by the Public Services Commission in July 2022.
