The member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Honorable Sam Nartey George, has predicted a global revolution to gay and lesbian rights (LGBTQ+).

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 19th July 2022, he wrote;

“We would be remembered by posterity for standing on the right side of history. We would blaze a trail of ‘sanity’ that the world would come to appreciate. The wind is blowing and would be a global revolution.”

The comments of Sam George comes as a background to the Russia’s parliament moved on Monday to tighten their already stringent restrictions on the discussion of LGBTQ rights and relationships.

With the intention to prevent children from being exposed to, what it calls “LGBTQ+ propaganda”, the Russian Parliament has introduced a bill to completely ban LGBTQ+ imagery.

The Ningo Prampram MP has been advocating for the criminalization of LGBT+ activities in Ghana. His comments shows his optimistism that the world would one day ban or criminalize gay and lesbian activities.

Sam George shared a screenshot of Russia ban to the LGBTQ+ imagery.

He wrote that Ghana should pass the bill which will criminalize gay and lesbian activities in Ghana.
