Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyaponghas questioned why Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation(GNPC), K K Sarpong is still at post following the viral video of the latter’s personal driver displaying opulence which is making the New Patriotic Party and the Akufo-Addo administration unpopular.
According to the firebrand MP, any serious government elsewhere would have taken actions to relive the GNPC Boss of his post.
A video went viral last week when man whose identity is now confirmed as Nana Prempeh, a personal driver of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) took to social media to flaunt bundles of dollars and vehicles to the shock of many.
Nana Prempeh displayed his luxury cars and told the world that he lives in Trassaco which is one of the most influential and luxurious communities in the country.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, it is a disgrace to the political party indicating that “If this was another jurisdiction, KK Sarpong would have been sacked for his driver flaunting money on social media”.
He questioned how much KK Sarpong has taken from the GNPC if his driver is able to flaunt $100,000 and other luxuries he’s enjoying indicating that such people are the ones gradually pushing the party into opposition.
